Proper grinding is an essential part of coffee production process and Grand Kafa Company pays a lot of attention to this segment of production. Fragrance, taste and aroma of traditional black coffee depends on the ground coffee structure and for that reason the grinding process is strictly monitored. The process itself consists of grinding the coffee beans in special mills whereby the size of roasted ground coffee particle should not exceed 0.8 mm.

For preparing different types of coffee beverages, finer or coarser ground coffee is used:
Turkish coffee is extracted practically instantly, ensuring a remarkably aromatic drink and requires extra fine grind (app. 0.1 mm particle size).
Espresso preparation, with 20 to 30 seconds of extraction time, requires a very evenly ground and extra coarse grind.
In filter coffee preparation, coffee is soaked in water longer. Medium coarse grinds are required (app. 0.3 mm particle size).
