TV sets and air conditioners for CHC Emergency Center

14. 05. 2007.

Grand Kafa donated five television sets and four air conditioning units to cardiology and orthopaedics’ wards of CHC Emergency Center, housing a total of about 120 patients.

These wards treat most difficult cases and mainly immobile patients and providing the wards with such equipment is supposed to facilitate their stay in hospital and contribute to their recovery. The CHC Emergency Center initiated a campaign for equipping and furnishing of patients’ rooms with the intention of improving the hospital conditions and adorning the hospital interior. This is the second time Grand Kafa provides support for the Clinical Hospital Center as part of corporate charity campaigns "Grand’s bean of humanity". In January, Grand Kafa equipped the Coronary Ward of CHC Emergency Center with coloured bed linen for the patients and the donated television sets and air conditioners should contribute to their faster and easier recuperation.

The CHC Emergency Center is one of the most populous medical institutions with most difficult cases admitted day and night. Many of these patients’ lives are rescued in the last moment, Head of EC Consultative Department Milena Jauković said and added that more than 700 persons are examined every day. Average hospital treatment in this medical facility lasts 6 and a half days, confirming the high frequency of emergency admissions. Around 350,000 diagnostic tests are performed at the Emergency Center every year.
